Drug Free Workplace Policy
This Drug Free Workplace Policy is designed to summarize Good Knight Inc.’s rules and regulations regarding the use of drugs and alcohol and to advise volunteers of their compliance obligations. Your personal protection, the protection of other volunteers, and public safety are very important to all of us. The Policy applies to all volunteers and also applies to all visiting members of the public including guests.
I. STATEMENT OF POLICY LET'S BUILD BEDS. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") will not condone and will not tolerate any of the following workplace related behaviors by its volunteers: a. The use of illegal drugs; b. The use of alcohol; c. The use of marijuana, without a prescription; d. The sale, purchase, manufacture, transfer, use of possession of any illicit drugs, or prescription drugs obtained without a prescription; or e. The volunteer's presence at the workplace under the influence of any drug (legal or illegal), alcohol, or marijuana to the extent that job performance or safety may be affected.
The Company seeks any volunteer or applicant who violates this Drug Free Workplace Policy (herein after referred to as the 'Policy'), may be subject to discipline, up to and including termination of their volunteer relationship with the Company. The implementation of discipline or of sanctions shall be at the sole discretion of the Company.
The Policy applies to volunteers while performing work for the Company, on or off Company premises or job sites; and individuals seeking to volunteer for the Company, where applicable.
II. ENFORCEMENT The Company may voluntarily promote this Policy through posted signage, in company literature, and through other training. All volunteers should assist the Company in explaining the policy to any visitors. If a volunteer thinks he or she is aware of a violation of this Policy, he or she should report the violation to the Company. The Company will investigate the complaint and take remedial action, if necessary. The Company prohibits retaliation against volunteers who report violations of this Policy. Volunteers who violate this Policy are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of the volunteer relationship with the Company.

Background Checks –
As a Volunteer you also agree to submit to a Background Check as a may be requested by Good Knight’s management, and further agree that you may be denied volunteer status at management’s discretion.
